What is Mass Customisation?
Mass Customisation is the ability to deliver individually customised products or solutions on a large scale.
You can almost think of it as a cross between "Mass production" and "Custom made."
What is E2MC?
E2MC is Electrostrata's business solution for businesses that want to adopt Mass Customisation in the best possible
way. It provides all of the benefits of Mass Customisation, plus a number of additional potent benefits of its own.
My organisation is already doing Mass Customisation, can E2MC help me?
Yes! If your business is already selling customised products, then the chances are that E2MC will be of more
interest to you. E2MC is more than Mass Customisation; it is about delivery in an ultra-efficient cost-effective way.
Is there a lot work involved in developing a Mass Customisation program?
It depends on your business. If you already provide some sort of modularised or customisable product, then Mass Customisation
is just a logical extension. If your products or services are not currently broken down into smaller pieces, then you may
still find that Mass Customisation is possible with a little extra work.
Is it expensive?
No. It is an investment that you are almost certain to have a return on.
Mass Customisation simply isn't possible in my business, is there anything else I can do?

Is Mass Customisation the same thing as e-business or e-commerce?
No. Our systems typically have an e-business or e-commerce element to them, but Mass Customisation is more than
this. It is much better than a plain e-business solution.
I already have my own internal IT department, why shouldn't I just develop my own Mass Customisation
system with them?
Because we specialise in this field and we have the necessary expertise and experience. If you use us, the job will be done
right first time. If you rely on people with no experience in this field, they will make mistakes (which we have already
learnt from) and it will cost you more in the long term. Also, because we know what we are doing, we can move quicker and
leave your internal IT free to focus on the aspects of your business that you already need them for.
How big/small is an E2MC project?
It is exactly as big or as small as you need it. If you have a small budget and want to try something simple, we can do that.
You can always increase the sophistication later. Alternatively, if you need a large multi-national system that must
integrate with other enterprise systems, we can do that too. Our technology is enterprise class and we have constructed
systems which work in multi-language, multi-currency environments.
